Torac controls insects mainly via contact activity, so insects must be present at time of application. It has rapid anti-feeding activity. It is probably best used later in the season for knockback control of multiple pests. Torac is not translaminar or systemic, so good coverage is important. Actively growing foliage can prevent good coverage. Use sufficient water volume with ground or air application to ensure thorough coverage. A spray adjuvant/spreader is recommended. Make only two applications per season. Allow at least 14 days between applications.

| Target | Application per Acre | REI | PHI | MOA | Eff. | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aphid | 17-21 fl oz | 12 h | 14 d | 21A | G | Apply when aphids are present for knockback control with anti-feeding. Contact insecticide with limited residual activity, so good coverage is important, especially when leaf growth is rapid, and other insecticides may be needed to extend control. |
| Armyworms, Cutworms, Loopers | See Label | 12 h | 14 d | 21A | G | Lepidopteran caterpillars are on the label but not in the potato section. It can knockback their numbers, especially if used when caterpillars are small. |
| Colorado Potato Beetle | 14-21 fl oz | 12 h | 14 d | 21A | E | Apply when about 50% of the eggs have hatched for best results. Rapid anti-feeding activity. It controls eggs, larvae, and adults. |
| Potato Psyllid | 17-21 fl oz | 12 h | 14 d | 21A | G (n+a) | Apply when psyllids are present for knockback control with anti-feeding. Products with longer residuals are preferred for controlling psyllids that slowly migrate into potatoes. Torac can control all life stages, but it may not always reach nymphs on the underside of leaves. |
| Thrips | 17-21 fl oz | 12 h | 14 d | 21A | G | Apply when thrips are present for knockback control. |
