Thimet 20-G SmartBox is a systemic insecticide. Expect up to 50 days of residual control. Apply in-furrow at planting or band at hilling 4-6 weeks after planting. Rates vary depending on soil texture. 72-hr REI in areas where annual average rainfall is less than 25 inches per year. Thimet 20G Lock’N Load is a similar product. A restricted use pesticide with “Danger/Poison” warning and handling concerns.
