indoxacarb (Avaunt Insecticide)

Avaunt Insecticide works mainly via ingestion, but it has some contact activity. It is soft on most beneficial, predator insects. It is not systemic but has some limited translaminar movement. Good coverage is important. Avaunt may need to be re-applied to cover new leaves. Minimum spray interval is 5-days. Include a pesticide synergist, piperonyl butoxide (PBO), to enhance control. Use enough water carrier to obtain good coverage via aerial or ground. Chemigation applications offer greater penetration and coverage; but use only 0.1-to-0.2-inch water. Make only two consecutive applications before rotating to an insecticide with a different MOA.
