Platinum 75 SG is a systemic neonicotinoid insecticide. Controls via ingestion. Expect 60-90 days of residual control depending on the rate used, soil and environmental conditions, application timing, and insect pressure. Apply in-furrow at planting, or in a spray directed at the base of the plant at hilling, or chemigate at plant emergence. Apply neonicotinoid insecticides (Group 4A) ONLY once in a season because exposure to insecticides with long persistence in foliage can create strong selection pressure towards resistant insect populations. A similar product, Platinum Insecticide, is a liquid formulation with a different use rate.
