Maxim 4FS includes a broad-spectrum, non-systemic (contact) fungicide with protectant activity. It will not cure disease already present in the seed, but it will limit the spread of some fungal pathogens when cutting and planting. It will not control bacterial diseases. Maxim 4FS is a flowable concentrate for seed treatment. Apply as a water-based slurry with specialized equipment at the rate of 0.08 fl oz of product per 100 lbs of seed. This product is not intended for application with bark or absorbent carriers. Treated seed should not be planted immediately, because wet surfaces from slurry treatment may inhibit wound healing. Mix only the amount of product needed for daily use. Similar seed treatments with fludioxonil are available, but the formulation, use rate, and application directions may differ.
