Dithane F-45 includes a broad-spectrum, non-systemic (contact) fungicide with protectant activity. It can be applied as a seed treatment or foliar fungicide. This describes seed treatment. It will not cure disease already present in the seed, but will limit the spread of several fungal pathogens when cutting and planting. It will not control bacterial diseases. Dithane F-45 is a flowable concentrate. Apply to dry seed as a slurry at the rate of 1.6 to 2.5 fl oz of product per 100 lbs of seed. Dye must be added to impart an unnatural color to the seed. Similar seed treatments with mancozeb as a flowable formulation are available, but the amount of mancozeb and use rates vary.
