isocycloseram (Zivalgo)

Zivalgo works on contact and via ingestion. Insects stop feeding soon after exposure. This product has some limited translaminar activity. Good spray coverage is important. Rapidly growing plants may need retreatment after 7 days. Zivalgo has relatively long residual activity on foliage, about 3 weeks. This is longer than many traditional contact insecticides. Use a greater volume of water to ensure adequate coverage when pest populations are high or foliage is dense. The use of a non-ionic wetting, spreading, and/or penetrating spray adjuvant may improve coverage and penetration. For best control, apply with ground application equipment. Aerial application and chemigation (with up to 0.25 inches of water per acre) are allowed, but they may lessen the level and duration of control compared to ground application. Use higher rates for large infestations. Talk to your processor before applying to crops destined for export, since MRLs/tolerances may not be established in all regions.

Usage for isocycloseram on Potatoes

Max Application per Season: 6fl oz

Emergence to Row Closure

Target Application per Acre REI PHI MOA Eff. Notes
Beet Leafhopper 0.7-2.0 fl oz 12 14 30 E Apply in May or June to target BLHs and minimize the spread of phytoplasma (purple top). This product has long residual activity, so a single treatment may be sufficient to control the spring BLH generation.
Colorado Potato Beetle 0.7-2.0 fl oz 12 14 30 E Apply at 50% egg hatch when larvae are small, and retreat if needed. Use a product with a different mode of action to target the next generation.
Lygus Bugs 1.6-2.0 fl oz 12 14 30 E There is a FIFRA Section 2(ee) recommendation for controlling Lygus bugs with Zivalgo. Apply when nymphs are present.
Thrips 1.6-2.0 fl oz 12 14 30 G Begin making applications when populations are low.
